The fronts are still good! Great tires!

That’s far, FAR more than any other tire I’ve ridden. I did ride it until I rode through the inner casing though, and I wouldn’t recommend that as a smart move for anyone, period. Sometimes when you’re commuting, you push things a little farther than you would when you’re racing.

I didn’t mention it in the article because I haven’t actually kept track of how many miles I have on the tire, but the rubber seems to be lasting a hell of a long time. Which is surprising to me – as it feels very soft and grippy to the touch, so I would expect it to wear faster.

Like your experience, I find they don’t prevent all flats, but I’ve cut the average frequency of flats on the dirty streets of L.A. from a couple a month to a couple a year. I did find the extra weight slowed me down about a half mile per hour; something I could easily make up by working a little harder. And I’ve found that they corner extremely well, capable of handling any turn as hard as I want to push it.
